AFL 2025 Club Collectors Championship

Basic Game Structure

  • 9 participants compete throughout the AFL season
  • Each participant drafts 4 teams total
  • Each team is drafted exactly twice, meaning they have 2 owners each
  • Points are earned based on your teams' performance each round
  • The participant who accumulates the most points throughout the season is crowned the winner

Scoring System

For each team you own:

  • Win 4 points
  • Draw 2 points
  • Loss 0 points
  • Bye week 0 points
If two of your own teams play against each other, you'll receive the points as if they drew (2 points from each team, total 4).

Draft System

The draft uses a snake format, meaning the order reverses each round to maintain fairness. With 9 participants, the draft order flows like this:

Round 1: 1 → 2 → 3 → 4 → 5 → 6 → 7 → 8 → 9

Round 2: 9 → 8 → 7 → 6 → 5 → 4 → 3 → 2 → 1

Round 3: 1 → 2 → 3 → 4 → 5 → 6 → 7 → 8 → 9

Round 4: 9 → 8 → 7 → 6 → 5 → 4 → 3 → 2 → 1

Draft Strategy

Teams can be selected in any order during the draft, with no preset tiers.

  • Participants can choose any available team when it's their turn
  • Stronger teams are likely to be chosen earlier
  • Each team can only be drafted twice
  • Strategic decisions need to be made about when to draft teams

Example Draft Process

Let's say Player 1 gets first pick. Here's how it plays out:

Round 1:

  • Player 1 picks first (Pick 1)
  • Player 2 picks second (Pick 2)
  • [Continues to Player 9]

Round 2:

  • Player 9 picks first (Pick 10)
  • Player 8 picks second (Pick 11)
  • [Continues back to Player 1]

This pattern continues until each participant has their 4 teams.

Season Winner

The participant who accumulates the most points throughout the season is crowned the winner. Points are tallied after each round, making it easy to track standings and progress throughout the year.

Competition Balance

This format ensures every participant has exactly 4 teams to support throughout the season. With each team having exactly 2 owners and the snake draft system, the competition maintains fairness while preventing any single participant from gaining an unfair advantage through team selection.

The total prize pool will be split evenly among all 18 team selections.
